The Kestrel house should be placed in relatively open country on a post or tree 10-30 ft high with grassy habitat nearby where it can look for prey. 

The Screech-owl can be attracted along the edges of hardwood forest adjacent to fields or wetlands.  Boxes should be placed at least 10 feet high or more. 

The woodpecker can also be attracted to this box by placing it in a tree at least 10 ft high in a place where trees surround it.  Boxes should be placed at least 10 feet high.  This house dimensions are 22" high, 12" deep, 9 1/4" wide.  The entrance hole is 3"
